ICOOPMA 2018 - 8th International Conference on Optical, Optoelectronic and Photonic Materials and Applications

Conference Objectives

ICOOPMA is an international conference series on optical, optoelectronic and photonic materials for a wide range of applications from telecommunications to photovoltaics, and optical, optoelectronic and electro-optic properties of all classes of materials and material systems.

The conference will be held at Beach Hotel Maresias, a beautiful resort located at Maresias-SP, one of the most beautiful beaches of the São Paulo State coast. It is located at ~180kms from São Paulo International Airport.

ICOOPMA is a non-profit conference that is run by scientists for scientists without any institutional constraints and restrictions.

The previous seven ICOOPMA conferences were held in Darwin, Australia (2006), London, UK (2007), Edmonton, Canada (2008), Budapest, Hungary (2010), Nara, Japan (2012), Leeds, UK (2014) and Montréal, Canada (2016).

Submission of Abstracts and Publication of Papers

Abstract submission guidelines

For the abstract please use the template provided (word template) and convert into a PDF when completed.

  • All abstracts should follow the template;
  • Authors will be notified of the abstract acceptance/rejection no later than 30 May;
  • All abstracts must be submitted and presented in English with a quality of spelling and grammar suitable for publication;
  • Applicants should indicate the format they would prefer to present their abstracts:
    1. Plenary speakers: Plenary speakers (already defined) will have 40 minutes with 5 minutes for discussions;
    2. Invited speakers: Invited speakers (preliminary list is available at the conference Program topic);
    3. Oral: Oral presentations will be 13 minutes long with 2 minutes for questions. Spaces are limited. Those who are successful in sustaining an oral presentation may be offered to present their abstract in poster format;
    4. Poster: Presenters will be asked to be available to answer questions during a dedicated poster viewing time.

An author can present two abstracts maximum. The presenting author must register and attend the conference and be available to present one talk and/or one poster.

Before you begin the submission process, please prepare the following information:

  1. Presenting author´s contact information:
    • Full given name and family name;
    • Main affiliation details: institution, address, city, province/state, country, post/zip code;
    • E-mail address;
    • Phone number in which you can easily be reached.
  2. Co-authors´ information:
    • Full given name and family name;
    • E-mail address.
  3. A PDF copy of your abstract, which you will be required to upload during the submission process.
